London: City of Surprises

When you walk through the streets of London, there is something waiting for you in every single corner. If you are an art lover, the great museums with amazing exhibitions will greet you. If you are a green lover, then you are so lucky; because you will see the countless shades of green in the parks of London. If you like shopping, you will definitely go crazy; be sure that you have enough money with you!

Above all, be prepared to the weather conditions! Just in couple of hours, you might witness three different seasons! And don’t forget that getting wet in the rain is a must-do in London… Or you just have to accept the fact that it is always rainy in this city. Our trip was all about getting wet actually… Have you ever got wet with straw hat? I did…

If you are going to London, you probably know that you have to visit Big Ben, have a ride on London Eye, walk around the Buckingham Palace, ride a bike in Hyde Park, see the amazing collection of Tate Modern, take picture in a red phone booth, etc… But to get to know more about the city there are tons of things to do. And in fact that’s why London is just full of surprises…

Live. Love. London. 💙

Be a local in London

Maltby Street Market is one of the places where you can feel like a local. It’s a street of food and bars, actually. You will also enjoy Borough Market. Before your visit, make sure that you check the exhibitions in the town. I am sure that there will be an interesting one in Victoria and Albert Museum. If you visit London during the summer, don’t miss your chance to see a Shakespeare play in Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre; it will be such a great experience. You can check the program online.

I really like the cosmopolite characteristic of London. There are people all around the world and this unity creates great variety. When it comes to London, people might be interested in royal family stories; how they live, what they wear, etc… But in my opinion what makes London attractive is not that the vanity coming from the palace; it is actually the variety of people out on the streets. So don’t miss the chance of being part of this variety…

This time we went to London, because we were invited by EF International Language Center. While we were wandering around the center, we witnessed this variety even more. We met people from all over the world trying to learn English and experience Great Britain… I think that this would be an unforgettable memory especially for teenagers and for people who are in their early 20’s.

If you have enough time, don’t hesitate to get out of the city. There are so many places that you can visit around London. But if you are planning to rent a car, don’t forget that the traffic flows from the right side. Oxford is just 90 km away from the London, and you will be amazed by its beauty. And the road that takes you there is as beautiful as Oxford itself…
